Oxford Armory Farmer's Market and FCC Butner Team Up for Granville County Students

In an effort to relieve the burden on local teachers and families, the Federal Correctional Complex of Butner (FCC Butner) chose to support Butner-Stem and Credle Elementary schools and ACIM with a school supply drive. These schools were chosen based on the number of students who are economically disadvantaged in Granville County. FCC Butner challenged the Oxford Armory Farmer's Market to a friendly competition to collect school supplies.

Thanks to the support of the community, local students were equipped for the new school year. Earlier in August, members of the FCC Butner’s Employees Club and the Oxford Armory Board of Directors delivered donations to the schools.

The Oxford Armory Farmer's Market is held seasonally on Saturday mornings at the Oxford Armory (105 West Spring Street, Oxford). The market is a partnership between Granville County Cooperative Extension and the City of Oxford.

Delivery Team members include Roger Hasty, Stephanie Benjamin, Vicki Salisbury, Carrie Drayton, Laron Harris, Chris Garnes, Wendy Daniels Tatum, and Carla Spain
